Analysis and investigation of cooperativism

Analysis and investigation of cooperativism

One of our priority areas of work is the analysis of the development and evolution of cooperativism and, more particularly, the Mondragon Cooperative Experience. We have carried out numerous qualitative research projects focusing on the core of this cooperative experience.

An interesting sample of the work that has been made in this direction is the research carried out after the crisis of the cooperative Fagor appliances. An interesting exercise to analyze in depth the challenges that appeal to Mondragon’s cooperative movement.

The magnitude of the event prompted us to propose this analysis with the need, on the one hand, to understand the keys that operated in the background of the crisis and with the conviction, on the other hand, that learning from the experience of Fagor appliances will be essential to become aware of the immediate challenges cooperativism is facing, and to develop a more sustainable and reinforced cooperativism.
